Valentine’s Day in Paso Robles
Tuesday, February 2, 2016
Put down the stuffed bear and box of chocolates, Paso Robles is offering a number of festive events for those in love on Valentine’s Day!
For the movie buffs:
Treat your valentine to a special night out on the town at the annual Valentine Movie Night at Park Cinemas in downtown Paso Robles. The movie house will be showing the classic 1960’s film, “The Apartment” at 7 p.m. on February 14th. Couples can enjoy popcorn, soda, champagne and most importantly – romance – all in the heart of Paso Robles.
For the cookie enthusiasts:
August Ridge Vineyards will be dishing out the sweet by offering five types of sweet and savory cookies to pair with five of their unique Italian varietals! The event will take place all weekend long (Friday, 2/12 - Sunday, 2/14) and is available at $10 to the general public and $5 for club members of August Ridge.

For the music lover:
Grab your sweetheart and head to Shale Oak Winery for Electro-Acoustic Indie music by local artist Robi Duganne. Enjoy the event on the patio with a glass of wine and sweeping views of over 70-acres of Shale Oak’s vineyards. Robi’s set will take place from 1– 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14th. For those lovers who also love the environment, drop by Shale Oak Winery’s GOLD LEED certified tasting room to try SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certified wines!
For the foodie:
Niner Wine Estates is hosting a six-course meal complete with wine pairings! Chef Maegen Loring will serve sweet and savory dishes all inspired by a Valentine’s Day staple: chocolate. Morro Bay oysters with a chocolate-champagne granita, pork and cocoa nib terrine served with winter greens and a cocoa vinaigrette and roast lamb ribs with a white chocolate parsnip puree are among the delectable courses. The event is $150 to the public and $125 to wine club members.

For the hopelessly romantic:
A candlelit dinner, complete with award-winning wine and accompanied by live piano music is what you can find a Cass Winery’s Valentine’s Day dinner. Serving up appetizers and a four-course meal, Cass will also feature their coveted Reserve Cabernet alongside the likes of duck confit salad and wine-braised beef cheeks. Seating is limited and tickets are available for $100 per person.
