Paso Robles: 46 West Wineries 2013 Events
Thursday, January 3, 2013
So here we are, a new year kicking off which means another full year of wines, wineries, and winery events! Let’s get this year started off right by talking about an exciting group of wineries known as the 46 West Wineries.
This group of wineries include: Aron Hill, Berardo Vineyards, Castoro Cellars, Croad, Doce Robles, Donati Family Vineyard, Donatoni Winery, Eagle Castle, Fratelli Perata, Grey Wolf, Hunt Cellars, Midnight Cellars, Peachy Canyon Winery, Rotta Winery, Sextant Wines, Venteux Vineyards, and Veris Cellars.
These fine folks have decided to up their game by hosting monthly events throughout the year. One of these events is called Free Flight Weekend which is exactly what it sounds like. Four weekends in the year, all 17 wineries will have complimentary tastings for those that print off a pass from any of the individual wineries websites or from the 46 West Wineries site here: www.Paso46WestWineries.com
Personally, I think this is a great way for the wine consumer to be able to go in and taste some wines that you’ve never had before from wineries you’ve never visited; and if you have “been there done that”, what a great way to go back in and see what’s new for the low, low price of “free tasting”.
Here is the list of events for the 46 West Wineries group:
January 26-27 Free Flight Weekend
March 15-17 Zin Fest
April 13-14 Free Flight Weekend
May 17-19 Wine Fest
June 22-23 Free Flight Weekend
July 7 Block Party (all 17 member wineries in one location)
August TBA (To Be Announced)
September 7 Block Party (all 17 member wineries in one location)
October 18-20 Harvest Fest
November 9-10 Free Flight Weekend
December TBA (To Be Announced)
Not sure about you but that sounds like a pretty full year. So I guess it’s time to start preparing for this year of wine tasting, events, and enjoying the good life here in paradise. Hope to see you on the wine trail…Cheers!
