Halloween Happenings in Paso Robles

Paso Robles, with its warm community spirit and picturesque Downtown City Park, is an ideal destination for families to enjoy a Safe & Fun Halloween.

Every year, local area merchants host free trick-or-treating that typically draws more than 3,000 kids. This year’s celebration – kicking off at 4 p.m. on October 31 – will be better than ever.

During the three-hour event, families will enjoy live dance performances of “Thriller” and “Freak Like Me Needs Company” by the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation along with a tasty barbecue in City Park benefiting the Paso Robles Historical Society.

In addition to trick-or-treating and the above events, kids will love voting for their favorite scarecrows and taking pictures with the Main Street Witches.

For a slightly spookier Halloween, My Granny’s Gardens at San Marcos Ranch – located just seven miles north of downtown Paso – is a great option with its haunted Lost Dutchman’s Mine. This maze will delight visitors with thrills and chills as they wander through skeletons, spiders and ghosts. The attraction is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day along with the pumpkin patch, which is home to a fun corn maze, a straw maze for the little ones and a variety of critters the whole family will love!
