Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend
Tuesday, April 8, 2014
Celebrate Earth Day all weekend at the 8th Annual Earth Day Food and Wine Weekend.
A local favorite and boasting a culinary lineup rarely seen, this year’s event offers two beautiful new venues to experience food, wine and fun as you get the inside scoop on all of your favorite local producers and award-winning wines.
Friday (April 11th): Kick-off the weekend celebration with the exclusive Farm-to-Fork event at the esteemed JUSTIN Vineyard and Winery. Enjoy the winery’s award-winning varietals and blends along with gourmet food in their legendary setting. Along with being wined and dined on the beautiful property, attendees also get to meet several of the local farmers and ranchers who raise the food being enjoyed.
Saturday (April 12th): This is the day to enjoy the Main Event where the roots of the local food and wine scene will be celebrated and acknowledged in full Paso style. The keystone occasion of this year’s Earth Day Food & Wine Weekend takes place in the Meadow at Castoro Cellars in Paso Robles. The scenic venue is the perfect place to take in live music while you enjoy the Central Coast’s most innovative food and wine event.
Foodies, farmers and wine-lovers alike can revel in the tempting bites made with seasonal produce, grass-fed meats, artisanal cheeses, local olive oils, and even luscious Central Coast chocolate. Over 200 food producers, award-winning wineries and local chefs will be providing delicious bites and tastes throughout the day. Come hungry and leave happy as you experience the fruits of the Central Coast’s labor of love.
Sunday (April 13th): Join the weekend “Wine Down” events throughout Paso Robles wine country. Sunday’s event includes plant sales, tapas at local restaurants, tastings at local wineries, and much more. For a detailed list of Sunday’s Wine Down events check out the weekend schedule.
