The Concerts in the Park Summer Series Screams Summer in Paso Robles
Tuesday, June 10, 2014
This summer, Downtown City Park in Paso Robles, California is the place to be! From June 20th through August 22nd the 2014 Concerts in the Park Summer Series will be in full swing every Friday night. With genres of music ranging from soul to rock to reggae and much more, there is a little bit of something for everyone’s musical taste.
City Park provides a beautiful backdrop for the event, and considering the concerts are free every Friday night for anyone to attend, why would you miss it?
The first Friday evening concert kicks off the series with the local favorite Damon Castillo Band for those craving some old-school soul. Relax with some friends and enjoy a picnic dinner and a glass of local Paso Robles wine, J. Lohr Vineyards Rosé for example.
The scenic park has a playground for the kids, horseshoe pits and plenty of picnic space so bring the whole family along and let the sounds of music take you away. Is there a better way to start the summer weekends than dancing and laughing away the week you just tackled? Pack a picnic or stop in at one of the restaurant patios in the park and support our local businesses that help keep these concerts complimentary, like Villa Creek, La Cosecha, Artisan or Pappy McGregors, just to name a few.
The lineup this summer promises some fantastic bands including the Usual Suspects, The Wayward Ones, Soul Sauce and so many more. Monte Mills will be closing out the series with a little bit of country, so grab your boots and head to the park to swing to the sounds of one of the last of the yodeling cowboys, there’s no better way to finish off your summer. Come out to Downtown City Park in Paso Robles every Friday night this summer and celebrate the good times with good friends and great food, wine and music!
