6 Steps to an Amazing Three Speckled Hens Antiques and Old Stuff Show

Susi and Kathy from the Three Speckled Hens here! Our spring Antiques and Old Stuff Show is coming up on May 5 & 6 and we can’t stop clucking about how much fun it will be. We are here to prep you for the best antique show in the state. Here are our tips and tricks to make the most of your treasure hunting trip:

Step 1: Get your tickets

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 6, on our website. General Admission tickets will get you access to both Saturday and Sunday of our show at 10 am. The real hens in-the-know get the Early Bird tickets so they can hit all the booths two hours earlier than general admission.

Shh! Insider Tip – Those lucky hens subscribed to our email list receive special offers and discounts, so sign up before tickets go on sale!

Step 2: Arrive early

Our hen house gets busy with lots of antiquing hens during these shows, so arrive early! Parking will be available at the Paso Robles Event Center for $5, but these lots fill quickly. We recommend staying just minutes away from the show and booking one of the luxurious Paso Robles lodging options. Both of us and our volunteers love to walk around and hand out donuts to those Early Birds that are out to catch the worm!

Step 3: Stay Hydrated

Antiquing and treasure hunting can sure be hard work! Forget the coffee, hit the bar and grab a tasty mimosa or Bloody Mary to get your day started. Later in the afternoon, that Paso heat can creep up on you. Refuel with a refreshing margarita or a frozé. Yes, you read that right—a frozen rosé slushie!

Step 4: Utilize the Junk Hunks

Don’t let the size of your hidden gem you find at the show discourage you from making it a part of your collection. Large items can be held at the Pickin’s Holding Area while you are shopping. Our wonderful volunteers will be there to help you load your car because it might be impossible to tear your hubby away from the Hen Pecked Husband area.

Step 5: Don’t forget about Sunday

A big mistake that many treasure hunters make is not giving Sunday a chance! All of our dealers restock Saturday night, so there will be unseen antiques filling booths on the second day. Who knows? Some dealers like to save the best for last!

Step 6: Mark your calendars for the fall show

You know what they say, all good things must come to an end. At least we have our fall Three Speckled Hens Antiques and Old Stuff show to look forward to! After following these insider tips at the spring show, you will be shaking your tail feathers in anticipation to revisit the Paso Robles Event Center on September 29 & 30 for the fall show.
